Watch: The new trailer for ‘The Irishman’ sees Robert De Niro caught up in politics and organized crime

'The Irishman' hits Netflix on November 27

The new trailer for Martin Scorsese’s mob drama The Irishman has arrived, and it sees Robert De Niro getting caught up in politics and organized crime.

The trailer comes packed with vintage mob violence interspersed with distinctively Scorsese-style dark humour. “It was like the army,” De Niro says in the trailer. “You followed orders, you did the right thing, you got rewarded.”

Based on Charles Brandt’s book Heard You Paint Houses, The Irishman follows De Niro, who plays Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran, a World War II veteran-turned-hitman. It also boasts a stacked cast featuring Harvey Keitel, Bobby Cannavale, Anna Paquin, and more.

The Irishman premieres at New York Film Festival tomorrow, hits theatres on November 1st, and arrives on Netflix on November 27th.
