Watch: The opening title sequence of ‘American Horror Story: 1984’ is a mix of blood and ’80s nostalgia

Season 9 of 'AHS' premieres on September 18

American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy has released the opening title sequence for AHS: 1984.

The sequence features a peculiar balance of footage of retro fitness videos, Ronald Reagan, breakdancing, and a bunch of blood and gore, all soundtracked to an eerie ’80s synth pop tune.

“I am so excited to share with you the new American Horror Story title sequence by our longtime collaborator Kyle Cooper and our new friend Corey Vega, who ignited this concept with an original ‘fan’ cut he posted on Twitter after the 1984 season was announced,” Murphy wrote on Instagram.
