Watch: The Strokes play first full-capacity indoor concert in New York City

On Saturday, June 12th, The Strokes played the first full-capacity indoor concert in New York City since COVID-19.

The set, which was a fundraiser for New York City progressive mayoral candidate Maya Wiley, featured appearances from Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes, John Mulaney, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC). “Holy shit,” AOC says on stage as the crowd erupts into cheers. “New York is back!”

The Strokes performed 16 tracks live, including hits like “Reptilia” and “Is This It” alongside The New Abnormal tracks. Blood Orange joined the rock giants on stage to perform their 2013 Comedown Machine track, “One Way Trigger.”
