Google’s lesser-known Satellite-based endeavor, Earth Engine might look similar to Google Earth, but it serves a different purpose.
Where on one hand, Google Earth lets you examine maps with different terrains and 3-D buildings, Earth Engine uses time-lapse photography to look at ever-changing geospatial landscapes. The latter makes for some truly interesting footage, showing landscapes’ growth and development over many years, from the perspective of a satellite.
