Watch: Toronto director Brittany Farhat shares first episode of new web series featuring secret warehouse party with punk band Bad Waitress

'BPS TV' is set to be a fun, colourful 'video zine'

Toronto-based music video director Brittany Farhat, also known as Brittpaperscissors, has just released the first episode of a new web series called BPS TV, and it sees a secret warehouse party with punk band Bad Waitress.

BPS TV is set to be a fun, colourful “video zine” that revolves around do-it-yourself art, featuring musicians, craft tutorials, visual artists, and more. Today’s episode features Bad Waitress, who perform in front of a handcrafted set located in an empty warehouse. “I love to involve the band in the art direction, to build a creative, collaborative relationship before the actual shoot day,” Farhat explains in a statement. “And when they show up on set, there is an excitement & connection there, as they get to perform inside of this big crazy thing that they helped to create. It becomes a really meaningful experience for everybody.”

The show focuses on featuring primarily womxn creatives, and that extends to behind the camera as well, as the show is created by a small, mostly womxn team.
