Toronto-based artist and U.S. Girls, Ice Cream, and Darlene Shrugg member Carlyn Bezic is back with her fuzzy new single as Jane Inc., “Steel.”

The new track, which follows the release of “Gem,” marks the second new single from her forthcoming album, Number One, which drops on March 19th, 2021 via Telephone Explosion Records. With shimmering synthesizers, gritty guitar riffs, and thumping rhythms, this catchy track sees Bezic singing of the imbalanced work-life pattern we find ourselves in.
“‘Steel’ is about the frustration of living to work and working to live,” Bezic says of the track, “while condominiums (and the policy and bureaucracy that nurture them) slowly turn your hometown into a husk.”
