Vampire Weekend are back, and they’re out here playing new material. The band played two shows in Ojai, California over the weekend, performing their 2008 debut in its entirety during the first show. Their second show saw Ezra Koenig and Co. play a new song, reportedly titled “Flower Moon.”

“Flower Moon” bodes well for that long-rumoured new record to arrive at some point in the not-so-distant future. The band claimed to be “80 per cent done” with a new album earlier this year. The band responded to a fan via Instagram last month with a progress update, saying the record was “94.5 per cent” completed. So there’s that.

Vampire Weekend have several festival dates lined up over the course of the summer, including Japan’s Fuji Rock and Lollapalooza. Their last record was 2013’s Modern Vampires of the City.
