After releasing their highly anticipated album Father Of The Bride on Friday, Vampire Weekend played a seven hour concert in New York on Sunday at Webster Hall.
The huge gig was part of Red Bull Music Festival, and it saw the band performing career spanning hits for a whopping three sets. The jangly folk band took to the stage just after 11:00 AM, and the second set saw them play the new record in full. The band even recruited some pals for the show, bringing Danielle Haim on stage for “Hold You Now,” “Married in a Gold Rush,” “We Belong Together,” “Stranger,” and a cover of Thin Lizzy’s “The Boys Are Back in Town,” and the rest of the Haim sisters helped perform “This Life.” Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes joined the band for a performance of “Ya Hey” as well.
