Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo is selling more than 2,000 previously unreleased demos

As part of Cuomo's 'Web Programming class final project'

Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo has created an online marketplace, where he’s selling more than 2,000 previously unreleased demos, spanning pre-Weezer years all the way up to Weezer’s 2015 era.

In the “Market” section of his Mister Rivers’ Neighborhood website, Cuomo has put ten different compilations up for sale, organized based on different periods of creativity. Each demo set only costs $9, but they’re made up of a range from 26 tracks to a whopping 1,113 demos.

“For any demo: It might have silence. It might be wildly inappropriate. It might have super low sound quality. It might just be me rambling, talking, making sound,” Cuomo explains. “It may have already been shared or leaked. It might be just a drum beat. It might not have vocals. It might be a duplicate of another demo. It might be an inferior version of another demo. The information provided, such as year and description, might be incorrect.

Cuomo has also revealed that the marketplace is the final project for a course he’s currently taking in web programming, and you can check it out in full here.
