Whittamore’s Farm Will Close to Public After Summer Season

The family run farm will be closing its gates come fall

The Whittamore Farm will be closing its doors to the public this summer. The farm has become a staple within the GTA community, allowing families to pick their own strawberries and other items every year.

Although the farm, which has been family-owned since 1804, won’t actually be closed, it will no longer allow the public to pick from its crops as of Fall 2017. This will be the last summer available for those wanting to head out on their traditional Whittamore strawberry-picking adventure.

“It has been a privilege to operate this business, and we are grateful for our loyal customers, our amazing employees and everyone who has been part of the Whittamore’s Farm family,” said owner and operator Frank Whittamore in a statement.
