Yahya Abdul-Mateen II has landed a lead role in The Matrix 4, according to Variety.

After playing Black Manta in Aquaman, and making appearances in Us, The Get Down, The Handmaid’s Tale, and Black Mirror, Abdeel-Mateen has joined Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss in the forthcoming flick. While it hasn’t been revealed exactly what Abdul Mateen’s role will be, he landed it after meeting with director Lana Wachowski over the last week.
Production on The Matrix 4 is set to begin in early 2020.
