Maybe you’ve caught this artist around Toronto playing shows over the last couple years. Twist is the alias of Toronto singer songwriter Laura Hermiston and after honing her live show she’s ready for her close-up. Her debut full length Spectral (2016) is out at the end of the month – so prepare yourself with this dreamy first single.
Grouplove – “Welcome To Your Life”
You’ll be able to catch LA band Grouplove the day before Halloween, when they play at The Danforth Music Hall. If you can’t wait that long you are in luck seeing as their album drops in just about a month. Take a listen to “Welcome to You Life” off of Big Mess (2016).
The Zolas – “Get Dark”
The Zolas may be from Vancouver, but this one’s a tribute to Toronto. You’ll hear them namecheck some familiar streets and bars in this one from their latest album Swooner (2016).
Zeds Dead ft. Diplo & Elliphant – “Blame”
Next Friday you can catch Zed’s Dead at Echo Beach. The Canadian electro duo has released about a billion EP’s and play all over the world. This latest track finds them joined by a vocalist named Elliphant and their buddy … dunno, maybe youve heard of him, he’s called Diplo.
