Sam Coffey & The Iron Lungs – “Tough”

2017 was the year longtime DIY locals Sam Coffee and the Iron Lungs released their self-titled album through Dine Alone Records, and brought their ‘70s rock ‘n roll vibe full force to our birthday party. Here’s another rocker to bring you into 2018!

The Neighbourhood – “Scary Love”

The Neighbourhood have announced their follow-up to Hard will be an EP called To Imagine (Hard To Imagine. I see what you did there The Neighbourhood!) You have to wait until January 12 but here’s a taste of what’s to come.

Girlfriend Material – “Peace Sign”

Members of Tokyo Police Club and Hollerado have joined together to create a new alternative rock band called Girlfriend Material. They’ve got some sweet ‘90s vibes and a collective love for nostalgia is also a source of inspiration (apparently this one was inspired by the days of screensavers!)

Francis And The Lights ft. Chance The Rapper – “May I Have This Dance”

Francis and the Lights have remixed their own dance ballad off their 2016 release Farewell, Starlite! The “May I Have This Dance” Remix which also features some love from the great Chance the Rapper sounds like what should be played in the boombox scene of Say Anything if there’s ever a modern-day remake!

Taylor Knox – “Saturday”

Let’s get local! The great Taylor Knox is an indie rock triple threat – an excellent singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. His debut album Love manages to be sweet and vulnerable and catchy without any cliches, and he also knows the value of solid weekend with this gem “Saturday.”
