Cold War Kids – “First”

California’s Cold War Kids are over a decade old now, and their latest record Hold My Home is their 5th studio album. You can visit with them when they’re in town at the Phoenix on March 18th – and get ready to clap along with this one.

Brave Shores – “More Like You”

Summer never ends for Toronto’s brother sister duo Brave Shores — if 80’s style summery synth jams are your thing – you’re gonna love their latest track from their self titled EP.

Madisen Ward and The Mama Bear – “Silent Movies”

You love your mom, but do you think you could be in a band with her? That’s whats up with this next band – it’s a mother and son duo called Madisen Ward and The Mamma Bear. Madisen ward and his mom Ruth are from Kansas City, making magical folk together. They haven’t released a full album yet but you can look for their debut this year.

Joel Plaskett – “Credits Roll”

Joel Placket won’t be in Toronto until May, but you can grab his new album on March 17th. It’s gonna be called The Park Avenue Sobriety Test, and he’s back with The Emergency band for this one. Representing the east coast on Your First.

Tor Miller – “Midnight”

Ready for one more big voiced singer/songwriter? Move over Hozier, there’s a new guy in town and, his name is Tor Miller — a 19 year old from Brooklyn. You’ll hear he’s drawing his influence from gospel music in this song from his home in New York City. His EP came out in February.
