Wintersleep have been hibernating for the last four years and this week they are waking up with their sixth album, The Great Detachment. It drops this week and to celebrate, they’re playing Lee’s Palace tonight!
Jason Isbell – “24 Frames”
You might know Jason Isbell from his former gig as a member of the American band Drive by Truckers – but the singer-songwriter has been doing his own solo stuff for a while. His fifth album Something More Than Free dropped last year and he played at the Danforth this week.
The Wet Secrets – “I Can Swing a Hammer”
If you’re tired of going to live shows and seeing the same old two guitars, bass and drums — The Wet Secrets have got to be your next appointment. Their live show is CRAAAZY. Think: wild marching band on acid. You can see them when they’re visiting from Edmonton for CMW in May.
Ty Segall & the Muggers – “Candy Sam”
California garage rock machine Ty Segall originally released his latest album Emotional Mugger just over a month ago, after announcing it via VHS tape. Segall says it’s his first experimental rock album.
