His final album, Blackstar, released just two days before his death on his 69th birthday, was his parting gift to his fans. An artist right until the end, Bowie knew EXACTLY what he was doing. It was just announced that Ra Ra Riot is going to be making the trip from New York down to Austin, Texas for SXSW this March. After that, you’ll see ‘em roll through Toronto to play Lee’s in April. Their new album Need Your Light drops next month.

Singer-songwriter Basia Bulat has a bigger, louder, SHINIER sound with her latest album Good Advice out next month and produced by My Morning Jacket’s Jim James. You can see her at the Mod Club on February 19th.
