George Ezra – “Paradise”

British singer/songwriter George Ezra has a new album Staying at Tamara’s out March 23. Who is Tamara? Stay tuned for when he comes to town on April 20th when he plays the Phoenix we’ll find out more.

Rhye – “Taste”

Though Rhye are known as an LA duo, let’s not forget they are one half Canadian! And they’re new album Blood will be out Feb 2nd,
To celebrate they’ll be back in Toronto March 5th at Massey Hall with excellent local Hannah Georgas opening.


Kandle ft. Peter Dreimanis – “When My Body Breaks”

Montreal’s Kandle (yes that’s her real name) just signed to Sleepless Records and has released a new tune to celebrate. This first taste of new music also features a couple Torontontians to guest, including Peter Dreimanis from July Talk AND Sam Goldberg from Broken Social Scene.

The Voidz – “Leave It In My Dreams”

It’s been about 4 years since The Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas’ side project, The Voidz, released their debut. They’re back in action with sophomore album Virtue coming out in March, which hopefully means a Toronto date soon.

Sportsfan – “Gabriel”

Alright! Sportsfan have released their first record! IF you’re a fan, take note, it’s a compilation of their first two EP’s, Bad Summer and Holy Hell. Celebrate Sportsfan’s release at the Smiling Buddha February 2nd and you can seeing them before doing some weekend record shopping at their Sonic Boom in-store February 3 at 4pm.
