The Right Sound for the Right Price

Death Cab For Cutie – “The Ghosts of Beverly Drive”

When they were in town back in the spring, they sold out the Sony Centre in no time – the love for Death Cab for Cutie only grows stronger! You heard the influence of their love/hate relationship with Los Angeles on their last single, “Black Sun,” and the LA theme continues in their lastest single from their album Kintsugi.

Rah Rah – “Chip Off The Heart”

Prairie music makers Rah Rah are back! It’s been a couple years since their last album, The Poet’s Dead, but Regina’s finest have been busy – lately they’ve been playing shows with Yukon Blonde and jamming this new single.

Robert Delong – “Don’t Wait Up”

IF YOU check out the new video for the song, you’ll see just how Robert Delong operates – with a ton of machines. Keyboards! Video game controllers! Joysticks! Is he a man, or is he a robot? WE DON’T KNOW! But, he had a stand-out set at Bestival earlier this month.

Frank Turner – “The Next Storm”

Taylor Swift might be the biggest pop star in the world right now but… FRANK TURNER DONT CARE! His label suggested she work with him on his new album Positive Songs for Negative People and he said “that’s a rubbish idea” and got on with it. Frank Turner doesn’t need T Swift – remember when he had that massive hit with “Recovery?” UK rocker Frank Turner has returned with “The Next Storm”! No really, that’s the name of the song.

Baio – “Sister Of Pearl”

IF youre a Vampire Weekend fan, listen up – no, its not new Vampy Weeks, but its the next best thing: Vampire Weekend bassist Chris Baio will be announcing a solo LP in the fall and you’re getting a little peek right now with this song called “Sisters of Pearl.” Baio says the message is: “Be who you want to be.” Aw. That’s nice.
