Florence & The Machine – “Patricia”

Did you know Florence & The Machine’s latest album has a tribute to Patti Smith? Indeed! While putting together the record Florence Welch says she was reading a lot of Patti Smith’s work and Smith “would bring so much reverence to even daily life.” (And yes, this song is called “Patricia.”)

Arkells – “Only For A Moment”

Arkells are gearing up for the release of their seventh record Rally Cry on October 19 and here’s another pop-rock gem from the Hamilton crew to get you ready for it!

Hippo Campus – “Bambi”

Minnesota’s Hippo Campus received a lot of love over their debut, and now they’re back with their sophomore album called Bambi. The title track gets its name from one member’s Aunt Bambi, who’s cabin has been an important spot for the band to write and work on everything from music to relationships.

Smashing Pumpkins – “Silvery Sometimes (Ghosts)”

With the mostly reunited Smashing Pumpkins touring this year, it’s no surprise new music was in the works. Rick Rubin produced this latest effort from the band; here’s new music from The Smashing Pumpkins

Metric – “Now or Never Now”

Hopefully you were lucky enough to get a preview of new Metric at our 5th birthday party! At least now their latest album Art of Doubt is finally out, which is an album they recorded right here in Toronto in their Giant Studio.
