Tom Morello ft. Portugal. The Man & Whethan – “Every Step That I Take”

Tom Morello, yes, the guitarist for Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, and Prophets of Rage, has a solo album The Atlas Underground, which comes out October 12th. His list of collaborators is unbelievable, including everyone from OutKast’s Big Boi, to Killer Mike, to Steve Aoki, and here is his collaboration with Portugal. The Man and Whethan!

Begonia – “The Light”

Winnipeg’s Begonia has one helluva voice. Captivating, powerful, vulnerable, and memorable. In case you missed her opening slot for Royal Canoe, here’s her latest, “The Light.”

Vance Joy – “We’re Going Home”

Aussie singer-songwriter, Vance Joy, wrote this one while on tour opening for Taylor Swift, which was an endeavour that gave him a bit of a fright. He also says that it showed him what he was made of.

Valley – “Closer To The Picture”

We got a text message on the studio line about this local band last week – so high fives to whoever sent that one over! Local alt-pop 4 piece Valley says this track is about dealing with the digital noise and anxiety cycle of our modern times.

Muse – “Pressure”

I feel like we should rename Muse “The Big Tease,” as they keep dropping so many tunes before the release of the new record. Simulation Theory STILL won’t be out until November 9th! It’s nice to check out some new additions to their sound, like the horns on this one.
