You+Me – “Break The Cycle”

They’re an odd couple but they make beautiful tunes! This is the second song you’re hearing from the surprising collaboration between Dallas Green and P!nk. They’re called You+Me and their upcoming album is called >em>rose ave.. If you’re not sure how they’d work together – check it out, they do it so well.

Chet Faker – “Gold”

Australia just keeps churning ‘em out. Here’s another export from down under – Chet Faker is an electronica artist who just put out his debut album Built on Glass. Oh and remember that song “No Diggity”? Yeah you remember that song! Well, he did a cover of it that nearly got 6 millions views on YouTube. And you might hear a similarity in the vibe of this track called “Gold”.

Sam Smith – “Money on My Mind”

Sam Smith is quickly becoming a mega star and it’s not hard to hear why. His voice is un-friggen-believable. But it’s not just his vocal skills; when you listen to his songs you can really feel the passion. This one’s from his album In the Lonely Hour and yeah he might be a massive success but like he says in this tune, he’s doing it for love and not… for money.

Shakey Graves – “Dearly Departed”

If you’ve ever had to get over someone and had a hard time doing it, you might be into this one from Texas musician Shakey Graves. It’s about how he couldn’t stop seeing his ex-lover around the house. Like a ghost. His album And the War Came is out October 7th.

Thom Yorke – “A Brain in a Bottle”

SURPRISE! New Thom Yorke! The Radiohead frontman released a new solo album over the weekend – but he did it in an unusual way – through a new version of the file-sharing service Bittorrent. You can download it there or buy it on fancy deluxe vinyl. It’s called Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes and this is the first single, “A Brain in a Bottle”.
