It may be September, but festival season’s not over yet. Turf, or Toronto Urban Roots Festival takes over Fort York from September 18th-20th, and this is one of the bands you won’t wanna miss. Toronto-based folk troupe The Strumbellas hit it big with their song “Sailing” back in 2013, and they even scored a Juno for folk group of the year that same year. Now they’re back with a brand new tune!
Longtime indie darlings Beirut are releasing their fourth full-length album, NO NO NO this week, so you can get yourself prepared for their two shows at The Danforth Music Hall in November! This one’s a sweet piano and conga drum number.
