Indie rockers Yukon Blonde have taken to our recurring Live From Home series.
During their performance, they delivered a gritty rendition of their forthcoming single, “Your Heart’s My Home.” The band performed a guitar-driven, anthemic version of the track. Yukon Blonde took to a studio beneath purple lighting to perform “Your Heart’s My Home” in full.
“Your Heart’s My Home” comes from the forthcoming deluxe version of their new album, Vindicator. The deluxe edition comes out on September 22nd and features remixes and b-sides from the album.

“James (Younger) brought this jangly, throw-back tune to the table, complete with a brilliant hook and fleshed-out melody, and the tagline ‘Your Heart’s My Home,” vocalist and keyboardist Rebecca Gray explained upon the track’s release. “We were all feeling really good about how we were jamming it that we started recording beds almost instantly. Over the course of the next few days, it turned in to a darkly-sweet sort of mantra on lost love, and how to rebuild yourself afterwards. I’m better now, I’ve levelled up, but I wish you were still thinking about me like I think about you.”
Vindicator sees Yukon Blonde once again rewriting their story. It marks the first Yukon Blonde album ever written, recorded, and produced entirely by the band. Even the album title serves as a nod to how the band feels about its end result. “You don’t really need to compete with yourself, you just need to challenge yourself,” Jeffrey Innes explains.
“It’s a very rewarding feeling taking control of yourself and your creative ambition,” Younger adds. “It’s something that you can ride high on because expectations were met and fulfilled and that’s a joyous thing.”
