According to a report from TMZ, Kanye West’s Los Angeles hospital stay will likely stretch into American Thanksgiving weekend, describing the rapper as being in a “bad mental state.”

West entered UCLA Medical Center earlier this week after his physician diagnosed the rapper with “temporary psychosis” and emergency call. West made headlines after cancelling the remaining 21 dates on his world tour following a spat of erratic on-stage behaviour.

A previous TMZ update on the situation cited a clause in West’s insurance policy that would cover West’s potential losses on the cancelled tour and get him off the hook for anything he may have owed to concert venues and/or promoters in the event of “accident or illness…prevents any Insured Person from appearing or continuing to appear in any or all of the Insured Performance(s) or Event(s).”
