It’s been a big year for actor/musician Finn Wolfhard. The Stranger Things and IT star’s band Calpurnia is set to record their debut record after inking a deal with Royal Mountain Records.
The Vancouver-based quartet will record their album with producer Cadien Lake James (Twin Peaks). Calpurnia recently opened for Hollerado in Toronto at the Legendary Horseshoe Tavern.
“It is so sweet that we have such a good team at Royal Mountain Records,” Wolfhard said in a relase. “I love everyone on it. I’m extremely excited to record our EP with Cadien Lake James. Not only is he in one of my favorite bands of all time, and recorded some of my favorite songs, but he is also the sweetest guy ever. Thanks everyone so much who helped us out along the way, it means the world.”
Royal Mountain Records, of course, is also the home to Canadian artists PUP, Mac DeMarco, and Alvvays.
