Amy Billings, better known as Amy Shark, has been quietly gaining momentum with her mystic blend of indie folk and pop in recent years. Hailing from the Gold Coast of Australia, Shark spent years honing her craft as a young musician, but it wasn’t until recent events that turned the singer into somewhat of an overnight phenomenon.

In November, Shark was announced as the first Australian artist to receive Apple’s Up Next Artist designation. Late last year, Shark stopped by the Collective Arts Black Box to perform a pair of songs, including her hit “Adore.” Today, Indie88 is happy to share Shark’s performance of “Weekends,” from her Night Thinker EP.
