Doves are ‘putting the finishing touches’ on their first studio album in 11 years

Doves have revealed that they are “putting the finishing touches” on their first studio album in more than 11 years.

Last year, Doves ended their nine-year hiatus with the return to live performances, including a show at The Royal Albert Hall in London that was in support of The Teenage Cancer Trust. In 2018, the band hinted that if “the waters are right, the planets are aligned and we get that right vibe” then they would write new music. Now, Doves have confirmed that their latest record is in the final stages of completion.

Writing on Facebook, Doves unveiled that the follow-up to 2009’s Kingdom Of Rust will start being mastered in March. “Sorry we can’t say when it will be released yet,” the band explained. “As for now we will be working on videos and the cover art etc.”
