Top 5 Comedians Doing Impressions of Musicians

Jimmy Fallon just killed it on the tonight show with his spot on impression/performance of U2’s “Desire” on The Tonight Show. Bono and the boys were supposed to start a week long residency but had to cancel due to injury. That didn’t slow Fallon down for a second, he just grabbed some ridiculous sunglasses and his house band The Roots and blew the roof off. Here are some other funny peeps doing their versions of some legendary musicians.

Jimmy Fallon as Bono

He actually gives Bono a run for his money here. It doesn’t hurt having the Roots backing you up as they are one of the most versatile live acts around.

Dave Chappelle as Rick James

This might be the best example of nailing a character so well that you will forever be remembered for your impression. This is perfect. NSFW language.

Jermaine Clement (Flight of The Conchords) as David Bowie

It helps your credibility as a musical impersonator if you can actually play an instrument and the Flight Of The Conchords guys can certainly do that.

Will Ferrell as Robert Goulet

Will’s take on the loungey singer is pretty batshit crazy but it was so popular at the time that dudes everywhere were yelling “Goooulet” for months after his first in-character appearance. Check out his rendition of Loverboy’s “Working For The Weekend”.

Zach Galifianakis and Will Oldham as Kanye West

The boys turn Kanye’s “Can’t Tell Me Nothin” into a farming-themed video full of ridiculous posturing while on farm equipment. Zach channels Yeezy’s swag pretty well for a chubby white comedian.
