“Meet your new Arcade Fire” – Rolling Stone
The first single from Of Monsters and Men (“Little Talks”) is a platinum selling single in Canada, and their album “My Head Is An Animal” is also approaching platinum status.
Formed in 2010, the Icelandic band is fronted by Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir and Ragnar “Raggi” Þórhallsson – both play guitar and sing. They are supported by guitarist Brynjar Leifsson, piano/accordion player Árni Guðjónsson, bassist Kristján Páll Kristjánsson and drummer Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson. (My spell check just went nuts.)
“Little Talks” hit number one in Iceland back in the summer of 2011, but Europe and North American got a chance to get on the Of Monsters and Men bandwagon with an album release in the spring of 2012.
The band is on tour in North American for November and December.
